The Ross-tech cable and software still works (for those who don't know what I'm talking about, you buy the cable that plugs into your car's ODBI port from Ross-tech and the software is a free download to work with the dongle) but here is where the caution comes in. Over the years I've updated my computer and migrated everything, my newest MacBook Pro no longer has the old USB B inputs. I've used it to reset the check engine light for spurious alerts and have confirmed what my independent shows needs done.Īnyway, a long time ago I moved from Microsoft to Apple and I use Parallels to emulate Windows 10 for my Windows programs. I've had good luck with my Ross-Tech VCDS analyzer, I'm not that great at using it, but it does give you raw access to what you need as well as a great diagnostic.
